Output 3. A system to reclaim water from POME wastewater using manufactured porous and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes is established for palm oil production.
3.1 Low-cost porous membrane with high flux and good antifouling properties is developed
3.2 Low-cost nanomaterial incorporated RO membrane with high rejection property is developed
3.3 Higher volume of reclaimed as clean water is created from discharged POME wastewater via an integrated porous and RO membrane system
3.4 COD of POME wastewater is reduced.
